From the Publisher:
A history of the photographic book from 1878 to the present. A unique art form in their own right, photography books have played a major role within the photographic tradition almost since photographs were first taken. The Open Book showcases the art of the photography book from the late nineteenth century to the present day. 200 of the most significant examples of the genre from such artists as El Lissitzky, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans, Daido Moriyama, Robert Frank, and Larry Clark will be on display during the exhibition. The book was published in conjunction with the Hasselblad Center. Edited by Andrew Roth. Contributions by Simon Anderson, Ute Eskildsen, Philip Arons, Gerhard Steidl, Robert Frank and Hasse Person. The exhibition will run from June 17 to September 4, 2005.
Condition and Remarks:
This is a new and unopened copy, but it arrived with a very small, very light mark across the bottom of the text block. It’s very minor, but I’m grading conservatively. The mark should be visible in the last two photos. Apparently this book was not distributed through normal channels. There is no ISBN number or stated edition. Published by The Hasselblad Center and edited by Andrew Roth.
